GOD'S PEACE AND COMFORT

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” - John 14:27. God’s peace is different from the world’s peace. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding and that can only come from God. Beloved, when we are going through difficult times, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and anxious. But God promises to give us His peace that will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

When we are feeling anxious or afraid, we can turn to God in prayer and ask Him for His peace. We can also meditate on His Word and find comfort in His promises. Here are some verses that speak about God’s peace:

  • “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast,     because they trust in you.” - Isaiah 26:3
  • “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer      and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts      and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
  • “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” - 1 Peter      5:7

May you find comfort and peace in God’s presence today and always.

OveRComing Discouragement

Helpful tips on how to overcome discouragement

  1. Choose to be thankful: Focus on the good things in your life and be grateful for them.
  2. Forgive yourself and others: Holding onto      grudges and resentment can lead to discouragement.
  3. Encourage yourself with the Word of God: Read the Bible and meditate on verses that speak to you.
  4. Don’t dwell on the past: Learn from      your mistakes and move forward.
  5. Learn how to deal with disappointments: Disappointments are a part of life, but they don’t have to define      you.
  6. Embrace your unique path in life: Don’t compare yourself to others or try to be someone you’re not.
  7. Embrace the testimonies of others: Hearing how others have overcome discouragement can be inspiring.
  8. Pray: Ask God for strength and      guidance during difficult times.
  9. Listen to spirit-filled songs: Music can be      a powerful tool for lifting your spirits.
  10. Talk to godly people: Surround      yourself with people who will encourage and support you.
  11. Recall past victories and testimonies: Remembering how God has helped you in the past can give you hope      for the future.
  12. Get busy doing something productive in the kingdom of God: Serving others can help take your focus off of your own problems.

But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ Died for us.
