GOD'S PEACE AND COMFORT
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” - John 14:27. God’s peace is different from the world’s peace. It is a peace that surpasses all understanding and that can only come from God. Beloved, when we are going through difficult times, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and anxious. But God promises to give us His peace that will guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
When we are feeling anxious or afraid, we can turn to God in prayer and ask Him for His peace. We can also meditate on His Word and find comfort in His promises. Here are some verses that speak about God’s peace:
- “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” - Isaiah 26:3
- “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” - Philippians 4:6-7
- “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” - 1 Peter 5:7

- Pray: Ask God for strength and guidance during difficult times.
- Listen to spirit-filled songs: Music can be a powerful tool for lifting your spirits.
- Talk to godly people: Surround yourself with people who will encourage and support you.
- Recall past victories and testimonies: Remembering how God has helped you in the past can give you hope for the future.
- Get busy doing something productive in the kingdom of God: Serving others can help take your focus off of your own problems.
